Lady Bird

This review may contain spoilers. “trying to stay awake watching a thought daughter movie rec” is genuinely how I felt watching this movie. I heard it showed a beautiful, complex shaky mother daughter relationship but where was that? Maybe i just didn’t completely comprehend the film but Ladybird was unreasonable and difficult. Her mother was as well. Probably worse than her but everyone is acting like Ladybird is a saint. She knows her dad just lost his job and is struggling with depression yet she insists to go to a college she knows her parents can’t afford? This movie almost seems like it was written by a conservative millennial and how they perceive teenagers and youth🫩Oh and the ending was terrible and rushed. Wdym after being being terrible to your family, friends, hometown the entire movie she gets drunk, goes to church and suddenly has a profound realization about how much she loves her mother like what?
