Alright, Iām stealing what @Charlotteš¤āØ did on LinkedIn for her birthday. So, hereās the 23 life lessons Iāve learned during my 23 years on this planet, strap in, because Iām not holding back!
1. Put God in everything you do.
2. Donāt stop being āweirdā to fit in as youāll only end up around people you donāt really want to be around.
3. Commit to the bit.
4. Your Highschool/Secondary School friends will always be better than your college/university friends.
5. You can learn something from everyone.
6. Always find something you can like or respect about someone no matter how much you dislike them.
7. Living a good life is the best revenge.
8. Donāt let other people disturb your peace.
9. Youāre almost certainly cooler than you think you are.
10. Nerd out as often as possible.
11. Never take book recommendations from the people who work at the bookstore.
12. Bars are stupid; theyāre dark, loud, slightly off room temperature, and EVERYTHING is sticky! Not to mention youāre getting harassed at least once before you leave. (I donāt drink so maybe being intoxicated improves this experience.)
13. Know when to and when not to explain the math to someone.
14. If you propose an idea go through with it and at least try to make it work.
15. Donāt be afraid to fail.
16. Fail as much as you can as early as you can.
17. Know when to be quiet and when to be loud.
18. Know when to leave a room.
19. Eat good food.
20. You can never have enough Legos or books.
21. Always been willing to learn more.
22. Donāt be afraid to talk to people.
23. Laugh at how ridiculous the world and others are whenever possible, as the way the world works out can be really funny some times.
Now, use this wisdom wisely and enjoy what my mother made for my birthday.
