The Barbie movie has so many “cinephile” haters that say that it’s over-explained and yet the message still flew over everyone’s head

omfg I saw a bunch of people on Reddit slandering perks of being a wallflower saying how it was a basic predictable premise and didn’t hold any real value which is CRAZY! like the movie captures the essence of being a teenager while navigating difficult thoughts and hidden trauma so well I can’t believe grown people can water it down to be basic and predictable urgh

Why does everyone assume Paul and Leto II are reliable narrator? They openly tell you they’re not and yet, people will defend their actions, as well as The Golden Path as though it were the only true path.
