as a thalaivar fan, this film hit deep, but I left the cinema a bit disappointed. I really liked pooja hedge’s cameo song, but it didn’t really add to the plot; it felt quite random to be honest. rajini’s swag and the cinematography were amazing, but the story was too convoluted for a 50th anniversary film, and man, it was wayyyyy too many cameos; we’re trying too hard for pan-indian success now icl
