honestly such a cute movie! phenomenal acting from the lead characters, especially Jill (Zoey Deutch)!! honestly, I found it creepy at first when he listened to those voicemails, and maybe even a bit cliché. I also thought the insults she got as a chef were a bit bland; they weren’t really insulting. It seemed more like poor treatment, to be honest… I also hated how, at the end, she said this was her last voicemail; I get that she’s finally “found peace,” but personally, it felt like she was saying that since she’s found a guy, it’s all found, and I wanted them both to record voicemails for Izzy together. all in all, great film and an absolute tearjerker, especially those scenes between the sisters. The characters felt messy and real, and I really liked the way the story slowly comes together.
