one of the best ryan gosling characters and portrayals i’ve ever seen. i cried when i thought rocky died and just the thought that everyone on earth thinks he just died in his ship and don’t know he was taken in by rocky in their planet and that ryland is content makes me so sad. the lack of CGI has paid off so much and made the hard hitting scenes of this movie so much more memorable.

on Artorias’s shelf →i finished the book today and WOW. this movie is so faithful to the book (though i'm not surprised), even if there are a few major differences. my only three complaints are that they didn't include using the sahara as breeding grounds, nuking antarctica, and the coma gene. other than that, this movie is PERFECT
